Wenny H. Chang, aka Xiaowen da Zhang
Architect & Multi-Disciplinary Artist

Chang's background spans music, art, law, economics, and architecture. She guides her life and work through her personal motto:

She holds a degree in Economics from National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon. Her abstract paintings are part of the permanent collection at the Institute of Chinese Literature and Philosophy, Academia Sinica. Her calligraphy has been exhibited in Taipei, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, winning the Silver Award at the 2025 Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum NPO International Art Exhibition.

Integrating the concept of void and solidity into abstract oil paintings, she infuses calligraphy with modern abstract aesthetics. She also explores the rhythmic qualities of pre-Qin classics like Li Sao and the Book of Songs through musical composition. In 2019, she founded the Wind Eave Cultural Association, hosting hundreds of cultural gatherings and producing over 160 episodes of the Book of Songs audio series on YouTube, dedicated to exploring the enduring spirit of classical literature and envisioning a contemporary Eastern Renaissance.
